I first read Nicholas Goodly’s “R&B Facts” in the book This Is the Honey: An Anthology of Contemporary Black Poets, collected and edited by Kwame Alexander. The book is full of gems, and I will probably post more from there this month, but this was the first one that I read multiple times. I was pleased to see that there is a video on YouTube of the author reading the poem, so that is how I will pass it along. Enjoy.
